Monroe Voters: Tuesday is Last Day to Register

MONROE, CT — From the Town of Monroe - News & Announcements: Today the Monroe Town Clerk's Office is open until 8:00 p.m. for those who are registered and are qualified to vote absentee. Also, this Saturday the office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. strictly for absentee ballot voting. Feel free to call the office at 203-452-2811 if you need further information. Following are reasons that qualify for absentee voting:
-Active service in the Armed Forces o...f the United States
-Absence from the town during all of the hours of voting
-Illness
-Religious tenets forbid secular activity on the day of the election, primary or referendum
-Duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting
-Physical disability
