MONROE WEATHER ALERT: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Light Snow, Bitter Cold
The National Weather Service also is predicting more snow is possible for late Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the potential of 1-2 inches of new snow accumulation beginning after midnight tonight and continuing into Thursday morning’s commute.
The snow will be more of a nuisance than anything else, but we’re soon running out of places to put the snow as most places have between 2 and 3 feet of snow already on the ground.
After Thursday’s very light snow, the story turns to the bitter cold that will be hitting the area. On Thursday temperatures plummet from the high 20s all the way down to zero or 5 above at night.

And it’s very early, but all eyes are already pointed toward a potential weekend storm that could begin Saturday night and right now there is a chance of snow on Sunday and Monday as well.
