Monroe Weighs Next Steps for Wolfe Park Performance Pavilion
A meeting has been scheduled for Aug. 23 to get the ball rolling.

MONROE, CT -- First Selectman Ken Kellogg and Parks & Recreation Commission Chair Tony Scott will host a special meeting to discuss some of the logistics of building a permanent performance pavilion at Wolfe Park, The Monroe Courier is reporting.
The pair is inviting all individuals or groups who have an interest in the organization or administration of this project to attend the meeting, which will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
The idea of a performance pavilion was brought before the Town Council last month by the town’s Economic Development Commission (EDC). The Town Council supported the idea, but did support it being managed by EDC. The meeting will be the first step toward ultimately assigning responsibility to a person or organization for seeing the project through.
