Monroe Woman Facing DUI Charges for November Crash
The woman turned herself in on an active arrest warrant.

A Monroe woman is facing a DUI charge in connection with a one-vehicle crash on Route 25.
According to police, the department investigated the report of a one-vehicle crash on Nov. 15, 2014 at around 2:23 a.m. where the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a telephone pole, causing it to break in half. The vehicle then rolled over and came to a resting position on the driver’s side, police said.
Investigating officers smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver, 24-year-old Molly Terrell’s breath and she failed field sobriety tests, police said. After complaining of injuries, she was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers applied for an arrest warrant for Terrell which was issued by the Superior Court in Bridgeport.
After learning of this warrant, Terrell surrendered herself for arrest at the Monroe Police Department on June 30.

Terrell was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane. She was given a $500 bond and a court date of July 8.
