Monroe Woman's Car Hits Cart With Child, 3, Inside: Milford PD

MILFORD, CT — A Monroe woman is accused of hitting a shopping cart a woman was pushing with her 3-year-old child inside and then leaving the scene in her vehicle, Milford Police said.

On Sept. 27, police took custody of Seemal Chaudry, 33, of Windsor Road, in regard to an active arrest warrant, police said. She is accused of striking a pedestrian pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot of ShopRite, 935 Boston Post Road, on June 27 with her car and then fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim stated that the vehicle struck the carriage, which the victim's 3-year-old child was in at the time, police said. She is charged with evading responsibility.
