Monroe's Stormy and Warmer Weekday Forecast

After an amazing holiday weather weekend it’s back to reality starting on Wednesday.

Enjoy the rest of Tuesday as it feels like a summer day with sunny skies and temps in the low to mid 80s.

Beginning tonight the weather changes and there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms off and on beginning Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s on the shoreline and low 80s in interior sections.

On Friday the precipitation stops but skies remain cloudy with temps in the mid 70s on the shoreline to low 80s inland.

But the sun does return for one day on Saturday with sunny skies and temps around 80 degrees. And more showers possible for Sunday.

Monroe’s latest hyperlocal National Weather Service forecast:

• This Afternoon: Cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 6 to 8 mph.
• Tonight: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Patchy fog before midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 75 by 5am. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 7am and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 77 by 9am, then falling to around 66 during the remainder of the day. South wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to near 64 by 8pm, then rising to around 78 during the remainder of the night. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 64 by 5pm. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 78 by 5am. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 78.
• Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.
