Multiple Fire Departments Respond To Monroe House Fire
The blaze prompted a response from several neighboring fire departments.
MONROE, CT — Firefighters from several departments responded to a house fire Tuesday afternoon on Monroe Turnpike, according to the Stevenson Volunteer Fire Company.
Crews were dispatched just after 5:30 p.m. to the 1300 block of Monroe Turnpike (Route 111) for a reported structure fire. Stevenson firefighters responded alongside the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department and Stepney Fire Department.
Fire officials said crews made a quick knockdown and prevented the fire from spreading. The homeowners were home at the time and were able to call 911 quickly, according to the fire company.
