Nominate Your Favorite Monroe Artist for the Fairfield County Arts and Culture Awards
The award is open to all Monroe, Conn. and Fairfield County artists, corporations and people who support the arts in their communities.

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County’s announces their first annual Arts and Culture Empowerment (ACE) Awards.
The inaugural event “aims to celebrate individuals, organizations and businesses in Fairfield County who have made significant contributions to the community through arts and culture, or who have enriched the arts and culture sector through volunteerism or patronage,” according to a release.
The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is accepting nominations through Feb. 8, 2016. Award winners will be announced and presented at a breakfast in Norwalk at the Shore and Country Club, on May 19, 2016.
ACE awards will be given in the following categories:
Artist Award: Recognizes a creative individual who demonstrates commitment, creativity, and excellence within or for the artistic community in Fairfield County.
Citizen Award: Recognizes an individual whose dedication through volunteerism and/or financial support have contributed to the enrichment and prosperity of arts and culture in Fairfield County.
Corporate Award: Recognizes a business that through encouragement and patronage has helped broaden the interest and support of arts and culture in Fairfield County; or that has made a significant contribution to the economic development of its community through the creative sector.
Educator Award: Recognizes an individual, nonprofit, or creative business that has made a meaningful impact on the arts and cultural education of students, young adults or others in Fairfield County through innovative programming, increase in access, or advocacy.
Nonprofit Award: Recognizes an arts and cultural organization or leader that has made a significant contribution to Fairfield County through visionary leadership, innovative change, community engagement, or artistic excellence.
