Noreen Condon, 69, of Monroe, Passed Away Peacefully

MONROE, CT — Noreen Condon, of Monroe CT, passed away peacefully May 6, 2016, in her home.
Noreen was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 13, 1946, to the late John and Nora (Fitzgerald) Greany. She was the beloved wife of 47 years to James (Jim) Condon, who passed away in March, 2015. Prior to marriage, Noreen worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in NYC. Upon having children, she worked hard caring for the family as a stay-at-home mom. After her husband Jim retired, they formed their own company and did private engineering consulting work for 14 years. She loved family get-togethers, hosting relatives from out of town and spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her generosity and her devotion to and love of her family. She was a devout Catholic and member of Saint Jude Parish, and was a member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield.

She is survived by her two daughters Kathleen (Jim) Messina of NJ and Patricia (Michael) Bertie of CT; her son Daniel (Elizabeth) Condon of CA; her Redemptorist brother Rev. Brendan Greany, C.Ss.R. and her sister Kathleen Reilly, both of NY; her brother-in-law Noel Condon, her two sisters-in-law Doreen McInerney and Sister Anna Condon FMM, all in Ireland; her six adoring grandchildren; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James Condon, and two brothers Edward Greany and John Greany.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 10 from 4-8 pm at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 11 at 10:00 am at St. Jude Parish, 707 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, CT. Interment will follow immediately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Redemptorists, Attn: Fr. Greany/Condon, 7509 Shore Road, Brooklyn, NY 11209 orhttp://www.redemptorists.net .
