Obituary: Anthony J. Tartaglia, 57, of Monroe
Tony, as he was known by to his friends, lived in Monroe for his entire life and graduated from Masuk High School in 1979.

MONROE, CT -- Anthony J. Tartaglia, age 57 of Monroe, passed away suddenly on August 5, 2018. Born on April 8, 1961 in Bridgeport, he was the son of Anthony and Antoinette (Monaco) Tartaglia.
Tony, as he was known by to his friends, lived in Monroe for his entire life and graduated from Masuk High School in 1979. He studied Architecture and graduated from Rodger Williams University in Rhode Island. He furthered his studies at Boston Architect College. Tony began his long spanning career at Kevin Roche, John Dinkeloo Associates of New Haven, and then he worked for CAA of Stanford followed by Leitenberger Bronfman Architects in Greenwich. In 2001 he began his own successful business; Anthony J. Tartaglia Associates LLC of Westport CT. He was extremely talented and absolutely loved to draw and create beautiful designs for both commercial and residential properties. Tony won several prestigious design awards, and his work was published in New England Home Magazine.

Family was very important to Tony. He was a devoted son to his parents and loved to spoil his nieces and nephews. In his spare time, Tony enjoyed cheering on his sports teams, the Yankees and the Patriots.
He is survived by his three siblings; his brother James Tartaglia and sister in law Betsy, sisters Paula Lonardo and Donna Toth; his nephews Stephen Tartaglia, Ryan Lonardo, Alex Campanelli, Samuel Lonardo, Cade Toth and Walker Toth. His nieces Jessica Tartaglia, Sophia Lonardo, Maria Tartaglia and Jessica Campanelli. He was predeceased by his sister in law Kimberly Tartaglia.

Calling hours will be held August 9, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 at the funeral home and be completed graveside immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1065 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT.
