Obituary: David Christian Stone, 51, of Monroe
He enjoyed traveling all over the world, horseback riding, water and snow skiing, cooking, perfecting his French, and golfing.

MONROE, CT -- On Monday, May 21, David C. Stone of Huntley, IL, son, brother, uncle, beloved cousin, colleague, and neighbor passed away suddenly at the age of 51 years.
David will be forever remembered by his parents Ernest and Carolyn, by his brother Jeffrey (Deirdre), by his nieces Heidi (Phillip), Hilary, Olivia, and nephews Daniel and John. David will also be forever remembered by his aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
David was born in Norwalk, CT and spent his childhood in Westport and Monroe. David graduated with Masuk High School's class of 1985. In his high school years and into early adulthood, David served his community as a volunteer firefighter.

He then went on to receive his A&P Mechanic Certification from East Coast Aero Tech and began his career in aviation at Sikorsky Aircraft. In 1989, he eagerly began his 29 year career at United Airlines in Oakland, CA. His last position was in Maintenance Management at Willis Tower in Chicago.
David was a graduate of Las Positas School of Business. He enjoyed traveling all over the world, horseback riding, water and snow skiing, cooking, perfecting his French, golfing, pursuing his private pilot's license, volunteering as an election official, and most of all, doting on his family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, from 4-7 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpke., Monroe, 06468. Services are planned at the funeral home, Wednesday, May 30th at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Monroe Community Center.
