Obituary: John F. McCormack Jr., 88, of Monroe
For 50 plus years John was a resident of Monroe where he was active in the Little League Organization as a manager and officer.

MONROE, CT -- John F. McCormack Jr., 88, of Monroe, entered into eternal rest at his home surrounded by his loving family.
John was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn McCormack. He was born in New Haven on April 7, 1930 to the late John F. McCormack Sr. and Mary Veronica McCormack. He graduated in 1948 from Basick High School and went on to serve in the Korean War as a Corporal in the U.S Army.
For 50 plus years he was a resident of Monroe where he was active in the Little League Organization as a manager and officer. His entire career was in the HVAC field where he established Total Comfort Inc., with his sons.

John and his wife Evelyn enjoyed spending time between Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Florida. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law; John and Cathy of Monroe, Kevin and Lisa of Shelton, Keith and Maureen of Shelton, Brian and Lauren of Shelton, and his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Terry Stroz of Monroe.
He was a loving grandfather to twelve cherished grandchildren; John (Christine), Matt (Kara), Mark (Jill), Danny, Chris, Alexa, and Brianna McCormack, Terry and Michael Stroz, Marissa (Rob Memoli), Nicole (Jorge Rivera), and Dana (Nick Fusco), he also had three great grandchildren. His brother-in-law, Jerry Albarelli, sister-in-law, Shirley McCormack, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Thomas and Donald Paul McCormack.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke., Monroe. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friend may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
