Obituary: Marilyn Ella Cameron deMayo, 85, of Monroe
Marilyn was the owner of Things N Stuff Antiques on Main Street in Monroe, and was a founding member of the Hammertown Road Marching Band.

MONROE, CT — Marilyn Ella Cameron deMayo passed into eternity on December 19, 2018 at St Vincent's Hospital, Bridgeport.
Born on November 13, 1933 in Herkimer, New York to the late Maynard and Thelma Wicks Cameron, Marilyn graduated from Mohawk Central School, Class of 1951. She entered Oneonta State Teachers College, leaving to take a position as an operator for the Telephone Company.

Meeting her future husband in late 1955, Mike and Marilyn were wed on April 28, 1956. A deeply loving marriage founded in their Catholic faith produced 10 sons over the next 16 years.
In 1977, the deMayo family relocated to Monroe, where Marilyn was the owner of Things N Stuff Antiques on Main Street in Monroe, and was a founding member of the Hammertown Road Marching Band.

Marilyn is survived by her sister Sandy, her 9 sons (Michael III, Mark, Mathew, Martin, Malcolm, Maurice, Miles, Montgomery, and Marshall), 7 daughters in law (Kim, Becky, Carol, Peggy, Debbie, Lynn, and Greta), 5 granddaughters (Kelly, Megan, Rachel, Maymie, Evelyn), 16 grandsons (Michael IV, Cameron, Ethan, Simon, Adam, Christopher, Connor, Kyle, Ryan, Nick, Augustin, Maximilian, Sebastian, Benedict, Keegan, and Killian) 3 great granddaughters (Camryn, Reverie, Amelia), 2 great grandsons (Leif and Hazen), and numerous extended family members and friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years Michael F deMayo, Jr. and son Mitchell B. deMayo.
Friends and family are invited to call, December 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated December 28, 10:30 a.m. at St Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment to immediately follow at Monroe Center Cemetery.
