Obituary: Norma Jean (Mucherino) Blantin, of Monroe

MONROE, CT — Norma Jean (Mucherino) Blantin also known as Sailor passed into eternal peace on February 17th 2019.

Norma Jean was born in Hartford to Ida and George Blantin on December 22nd 1936. She graduated from Newtown High School in 1955 and Bridgeport hospital as an LPN. Norma Jean enjoyed country line and square dancing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving daughter Karrie Mucherino of Naugatuck, Grammy’s girls as she called them, Marisa Kennedy (Damien) of Wilton, Maine, Jacee Cotto (Garrett) and Sydney Cotto of Naugatuck, Gianna Jean Kennedy and Grammy's prince Aedan Kennedy of Wilton Maine. She is also survived by her identical twin sister, Wendy (Dubbs) Frank Of Shelton, Marlene Nichols of Canada, Jan Clayton of Norwich, brother Dennis Reynolds of Norwich and her bonus daughter, Maryellen Barrett Derosa. Also, several nieces and nephews. Norma Jean was predeceased by her parents Ida and George Blantin, siblings Ruth Clayton, Shirley Henderson, George Blantin, John Blantin and brother-in-law William Frank.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in Norma Jean's honor.
