Obituary: Rita Constance Qubick, 85, of Monroe

MONROE, CT --- Rita Constance (Guernsey) Qubick, age 85, of Monroe passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 10, 2018.

She was the daughter of Vincent and Sophie Guernsey, mother of Linda Brainard and husband Skip, Phil and John Qubick, all of Monroe.

She is survived by many grandchildren, Leon Qubick and wife Evelyn, Sarah and Erik Brainard, Jenny and Kristina Qubick, daughter in law, Donna and many nephews and a niece.

Rita was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Raymond and Clifford.

Rita belonged to the Newtown Hiking Club. She loved to hike, bike, fish, camp, knit and tend to her cow collection. She loved to vacation on the Jersey Shore with friends. Family will miss her annual Spaghetti picnic. She was very loved and will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours Monday, May 14th, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and funeral service Tuesday, May 15 at noon will both be held at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
