Does anyone in your family work in politics or government? No

Why are you seeking this office? I am seeking reelection to Town Council because I have loved being a part of it! It's exciting to make a difference in Monroe and its future. I look forward to continuing.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it: In the past year, raising taxes has been a pressing issue. I am helping to make sure Monroe is listening to all constituents, pressing leadership on spending and looking to what will work best going forward.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? I'm going to start by saying I do not like this question! I know all the other candidates running and each one of us is passionate about our town. We are all volunteers who care and want to make a difference. I bring to the table the voice someone who is an advocate for children and equal rights for everyone.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign? I always feel as though communication between town government and its constituents needs improvement. I also feel as though what is happening nationally is directly affecting our town and needs to be addressed.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? I feel accomplished after having spent the last two years on Town Council. I am proud of the volunteer work I do on Parents Council, with Monroe Pride and helping with the Historical Society. I am a past preschool director and take that management role with me in every endeavor.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? After I had my first child, a friend said to me, "you are the advocate for your child. If no one else will speak up for them you have to." This has made an effect on my life in ways I never thought.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions? I bring energy and heart to my advocacy and volunteer work. I am a listener and someone who believes everyone has a seat at the table.
