Presidential Primary Information For Monroe

Important information on how to vote in the presidential primary this year.

From the Town of Monroe: The Monroe Registrar of Voters Office wants to share important information regarding your ability to vote in either the Democratic or Republican Presidential Primaries on April 28, 2020. In order to vote in either Primary, you must be registered to vote as a member of that party. If you are a registered as a member of another party (e.g., Libertarian, Working Families, Independent Party, etc.) and wish to switch your party affiliation, you must do so by Jan. 28.

You may check your party affiliation online by going to portal.ct.gov/sots, then click on “Elections & Voting”, and then “Am I Registered to Vote?” If you are registered to vote as “Unaffiliated” with any political party, you may switch to a party affiliation online or by mail no later than April 23, or in person by noon April 27. Contact the Registrar of Voters Office at 203- 452-2820 with any questions or concerns regarding your voter registration.
