Renewal Set For Iconic Monroe Playground

MONROE, CT --- The Town Council gave its approval on Monday to the Monroe Playground Foundation’s plans to examine refurbishing or replacing the existing Kids Kreation playground at Wolfe Park in Monroe.

The estimated cost of the project is $300,000 , which covers materials only. The foundation envisions that the required labor will be provided by volunteers. Similarly, there would be no cost to the town, as the foundation plans to raise all the required money to both build and maintain the space through donations,

The project is expected to be completed by spring 2019, with concept development finished this year and fundraising running through early 2019.
