Robbery Attempt at Monroe Gas Station Turned Physical: Police

BREAKING: Police are looking to identify two attempted robbers. Have you seen them?

MONROE, CT — Monroe Police are investigating after an attempted robbery at the Henny Penny gas station turned physical Friday night, according to police.

Officers arrived at the Rte. 34 gas station at 12:25 a.m. Friday morning, where the clerk told them that two suspects were involved in a robbery. Things got physical between the clerk and the robbers before they fled the scene in what police believe to be a silver four-door sedan, the clerk told police.

Police told Patch that nothing was taken during the incident.

Police believe the vehicle may be a Ford 500. Investigators have obtained surveillance videos, and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspects.
