Services Announced for Monroe ATV Driver Who Died Saturday

John Compton passed away Saturday after the ATV he was riding flippeed. Services are planned for Monday in Trumbull.

John Compton, the 29-year-old man who died on Saturday, will be remembered as a kind and caring person with strong faith who helped others, according to a CT Post article.

His father, Charles Compton, told the CT Post Real he was visiting the owners of a house he’d sold in Monroe, and crashed the ATV in the driveway. His father said the family decided to remove him from life-support after St. Vincent’s medical staff determined there was no brain activity.

Compton said his son was a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in Trumbull. He is a graduate of Christian Heritage School in Trumbull.

Calling hours are at Abriola Funeral Home in Trumbull on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m.

Donations can be made to the Jacob Compton Educational Fund, in care of the First Assembly of God, P.O. Box 9058, Bridgeport CT 06601, to support the 8-year-old son he leaves behind.
