Sign-Ups Continue for First Annual Monroe Charity Golf Event

MONROE, CT-- Monroe First Selectman Steve Vavrek announced plans for the 1st Annual Monroe First Selectman's Golf Outing.

The event will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Whitney Farms Golf Club in Monroe.

The outing will benefit various Masuk High School 501(c)3 organizations that work throughout the year to provide funding for education, services and athletic programs not covered in the Town budget.

"Our 1st Annual Monroe First Selectman's Golf Outing committee knows the state and local economy is very challenging on our local businesses. We know that you have and will be asked to support your community many times throughout any given year. For this reason, I am very appreciative of our businesses, vendors and individuals who get involved, participate and whose support makes this outing possible," Vavrek said in a statement.
