Snow and Sleet on the Way for Monroe

Tuesday afternoon could be filled with snow and sleet, according to the National Weather Service. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation for our area for Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night with more snow on the way on Friday evening. Roads could be slippery and icy as temperatures drop.

• Today: A slight chance of snow before 1pm, then a chance of rain between 1pm and 3pm, then rain, snow, and sleet after 3pm. High near 36. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. East wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Tonight: Rain, snow, and sleet before 2am, then a chance of rain. Low around 33. East wind 5 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Wednesday: A chance of rain or drizzle, mainly before 5pm. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 48. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 29. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 40. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
• Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23.
• Friday: A chance of rain after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Friday Night: A chance of rain, snow, and sleet. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
