Sound The Trumpet Baptist Church in Monroe Near to Approval

MONROE, CT -- The Planning & Zoning Commission has just about given the green light to a new home for a brand new congregation.

Sound the Trumpet Baptist Church is preparing to move in to approximately one half of a building at 160 Shelton Road.

Commissioners reviewed the progress of the project's engineering firm at their August 2 meeting. The one remaining hold-up is confirming the exact location of the building's water line, which cannot be within 10 feet of its septic system. Barring no issues with the waterline check or other location-related engineering issues, the board will provide its letter of approval.
