
MONROE, CT - Two brothers have been arrested in connection with the theft of $7,000 worth of cigarettes from a Monroe convenience store, according to police.
Arrested were Jacob Dagley, 46, and David Dagley, 43, who were both charged with third-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police said the theft occurred at about 5:45 a.m. on Nov. 1, 2015, at the FM One Stop Convenience Store on Monroe Turnpike. Surveillance video allegedly shows the two back up to the front door of the store in a two-tone pickup truck, use a large rock to smash the glass door and crawl inside.

Once inside, they stashed 75 cartons of cigarettes into a garbage bag and fled.
“Detectives investigating learned that Westport, Milford and Shelton experienced similar burglaries,” said Monroe police in a statement. “Based on information developed in these investigations, arrest warrants were obtained for Jacob and David Dagley, who are both currently incarcerated at the Bridgeport Correctional Center (BCC) on similar charges.”
