Man Who Prompted Masuk High Lockdown Sought

Police released a photo of the man who prompted a lockdown at Masuk High School in Monroe.

MONROE, CT - A suspicious person prompted a lockdown at Masuk High School Wednesday morning. The lockdown has since been lifted and police continue to search for the man.

Police released an image of the man Wednesday afternoon. He is about 30-years-old and was wearing a black hoodie-style sweatshirt with white lettering and tan pants. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 203-261-3622.

The suspicious man was seen in a vehicle near the high school. The school resource officer approached the vehicle, but he sped off, police said. The vehicle was abandoned shortly after and the man fled on foot.

Officers will remain on and around campus throughout dismissal and will remain around the campus until all investigative leads are exhausted, police said on Facebook.
