Truck Fire Reported Overnight On Monroe Turnpike: Fire Dept.

Firefighters said the blaze was extinguished before it could spread to a nearby shed.

MONROE, CT — Volunteer firefighters responded to a truck fire on Monroe Turnpike early Tuesday morning, according to the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department.

The fire was reported around 2:40 a.m., and crews from Monroe and Stevenson responded, the department said.

Firefighters and the vehicle’s owner were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to an adjacent shed.
