U.S. Army National Guard Veteran Lawrence Robinson, 84, of Monroe

Before his retirement, he was an installer and repairman with the former Southern New England Telephone Co. for over 37 years.

MONROE, CT — Lawrence Robinson, age 84, beloved husband of Norma Hulford Robinson, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Old Forge, PA on September 9, 1931, he was a son of the late Issac and Verna Marsala Robinson.

Larry served in the U.S. Army National Guard 242nd for 20 years. Before his retirement, he was an installer and repairman with the former Southern New England Telephone Co. for over 37 years and a member of the ATT Pioneers. He enjoyed gardening and fishing but most of all spending time with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife Norma of 62 years, survivors include four loving children, Thomas Robinson and wife Maria of Seymour, Donna Poulin and husband Mark of Shelton, Larry Robinson and wife Sabrina of Shelton, John Robinson of Charlottesville, VA as well as seven cherished grandchildren, Michelle Langer and husband Joe, Jonathan and William Robinson, Kelly, Ben and Brian Robinson and Nicole Hemenway. The family wishes to thank the nurses of St. Vincent's Medical Center for their wonderful and heartfelt service. All funeral services will be private.
