U.S. News Ranks Masuk High School Among Top Schools in Connecticut

The rankings were released on Tuesday.

The verdict is out on the top high schools in Connecticut after U.S. News & World Report released their rankings Tuesday.

Several schools in Fairfield County made the list, including Masuk High School in Monroe.

The latest rankings put the school at No. 33 in the state.

Rankings are based on student to teacher ratios, college readiness with regard to Advanced Placement exam scores, and proficiency in mathematics and English.

Of the 42 percent of Masuk students who take AP exams, 33 percent of them pass, according to the report. About 96 percent of students are proficient in math and 95 percent are proficient in English.

Masuk High has a 14:1 student to teacher ratio.
