Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Monroe

An unnamed Orange resident is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MONROE, CT — An unnamed resident of Orange is $10,000 richer this week after winning a lottery scratch-off game, the Connecticut Lottery announced. The lucky ticket was purchased in Monroe.

The winning ticket was for a "10X Cash 15th Edition" game, which was purchased at Monroe Food Mart on Monroe Turnpike.

"Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown," officials said.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in May 2021, and as of Monday, 31 grand prizes of $10,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 5.2 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.
