$1.9 Million Winner Announced At Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, CT — A Franklin Square, NY woman is Mohegan Sun's latest big-time winner, after she hit for a whopping $1,984,388.38 while playing the Wizard of Oz penny slot machine at the venue's Casino of the Sky.

Cindy Montalbano’s life changed forever after the win on Oct. 3. The sum is one of the largest amounts won on a progressive jackpot at Mohegan Sun, but it's not the casino's only recent big winner.

Less than a month earlier, on Sept. 12, Kenneth Frey, of Bethel, nearly hit the million mark himself, taking home $875,898.88 on a Super 4 Blackjack Progressive table game in Casino of the Earth.
