$5 Blackjack Bet Turns Into $703K Jackpot At Mohegan Sun

Two small-dollar bets led to jackpots totaling nearly $1 million at Mohegan Sun.

UNCASVILLE, CT — Two Connecticut residents recently scored major jackpots at Mohegan Sun, including one guest who turned a $5 wager into more than $700,000.

According to Mohegan Sun officials, the largest win happened Friday, Jan. 30, when a guest playing Blackjack in the Casino of the Earth hit the Super 4 Royal Flush Progressive Jackpot for $703,977. The winning hand included the ace, king, queen, and jack of diamonds.

The Super 4 Progressive is a side bet available on Blackjack tables that pays out when the dealer has a Blackjack, with prize amounts based on both the player’s and dealer’s cards. Mohegan Sun introduced the game in 2015 and is among a limited number of casinos nationwide that offer it.

Another Connecticut guest claimed a sizable win the day before, Jan. 29, while playing a HUFF N’ EVEN MORE PUFF slot machine in the Casino of the Sky. That player hit the game’s “SUPER” progressive jackpot worth $267,110.14 while betting $10 per spin.

Mohegan Sun features two casinos in Uncasville — Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky — with thousands of slot machines and table games. The resort has reported multiple large jackpot wins over the past year.
