62 Oxycodone Pills, More Seized After Montville Man's Arrest: Police

Police are still investigating the situation, and more arrests are possible.

EAST LYME, CT - East Lyme police arrested a Montville man Monday on possession of narcotics and a number of other charges.

Police said the arrest was part of the department's effort to combat the opioid epidemic in East Lyme.

The suspect, 35-year old Michael McDaniel, was charged with possession of narcotics (with intent to sell) marijuana, as well as failure to wear a seatbelt.

Officers seized 62 oxycodone pills, a small amount of marijuana, $2,498 in cash and two cellphones as result of the arrest. McDaniel was held on a $50,000 cash surety bond and was due in court Tuesday.

Police are still investigating the situation, and more arrests are possible.
