MONTVILLE, CT — A Massachusetts motorist was caught driving 120 miles per hour on I-395 over the weekend, according to state police.
Emily Cunha Ferreira, 20, of Framingham, Mass., was charged Sunday with reckless driving, passing on the right, and following too closely.
A state trooper was on I-395 northbound in Montville around 7 p.m. Sunday and saw a Tesla traveling at a high rate of speed, police said, in a report.
According to police, the trooper clocked Ferreira driving more than 100 miles per hour for more than two miles. Police said she reached a top speed of 120 miles per hour.
Traffic was moderate at the time, according to police. The trooper pulled the driver over and took her into custody.
Ferreira is due to appear in Superior Court in Norwich on July 7.
