MONTVILLE, CT — Recent death notices from Montville

Roger Sterling Kaufmann, 83, died Aug. 16, 2026. He served in the U.S. Navy as a fire control technician and later volunteered as a firefighter with the Mohegan Fire Company in Montville. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Jarmusch, five children and six grandchildren.

Dustin A. Tanta-Quidgeon, 39, died Aug. 7, 2026. He is survived by his parents, Lemuel and Paula (Swindell) Quidgeon, his grandfather, Donald Tantaquidgeon, and members of the Mohegan Tribal family.

Ruth Theresa (Mahoney) Green, 96, died July 12, 2026. A registered nurse, she graduated salutatorian from Vassar Brothers Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and later earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude from Eastern Connecticut State College in 1979. She is survived by seven children, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
