Dunkin’ Donuts Franchisees George and Rob Veneziano Donate $10,000 to Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Company

Fifth year of a successful program that has raised over $50,000 for the fire company

As part of its commitment to the local community, The Veneziano Franchisee Group of Dunkin’ Donuts has donated $10,000 to the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Company. The Colchester Dunkin’ Donuts franchise raised the donation by selling a complete line of Dunkin’ Donuts beverages—including both hot and iced coffee, Coolattas, and hot chocolate—at the recent Hebron Fair. All of the proceeds from the sale were donated to the local Colchester Fire Company.  “The real thanks should go to the fine men and women of the Colchester Hayward Fire Company. They not only volunteer their service to the community; they commit their time at the fair to help raise this money for their fire company,” commented Rob Veneziano.
 
Each year, the local Colchester firefighters switch from manning the firehouse to manning a Dunkin’ Donuts serving station at the Hebron Fair. Fire Chief Walter Cox stated, “It becomes a complete team effort to work with Dunkin’ Donuts to help raise the funds we need. In addition to thanking Dunkin’ Donuts for their generosity, I want to thank our entire team, the lieutenants, fire police, EMS and fire division, who came out and volunteered.” The $10,000 donation will help fund local recruitment initiatives, training programs and life saving equipment for the fire department. This is the fifth year of the program, and since its inception over $50,000 has been donated to the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Company.
