Another Montville School Administrator Placed On Leave: Report
The administrator and coach is being investigated for reasons unrelated to the recent "fight club" scandal.

MONTVILLE, CT — Another Montville High School administrator was recently placed on administrative leave by the district, but his situation is unrelated to the fight club scandal that has rocked the school over the past few weeks, according to reports.
Baseball coach and interim Assistant Principal Phil Orbe, who has held the post since January, is on paid administrative leave while the district investigates comments he allegedly made to a student, writes The Day. When the incident occurred, and what Orbe is accused of saying, have not been disclosed.
Last week, the district placed Superintendent Brian C. Levesque; Montville High School Principal Jeffrey S. Theodoss; and assistant principal Tatiana Patten on leave following their arrests in connection with the fight club run out of a classroom by a since-fired substitute teacher.

State police accused the three of knowing about the incidents - where students slap-fought each other in a closed classroom while the teacher allegedly encouraged them - but did not report it to authorities or child protective services. The former substitute teacher, Ryan A. Fish, also has been arrested.
Orbe had been filling in for Patten, who has been on leave since January due to another investigation. In a statement to WTNH-TV, Montville Assistant Superintendent Laurie Pallin reiterated that the Orbe situation had "absolutely nothing" to do with the other three administrators.

The district has tapped administrator Heather Sangermano as acting Principal at the high school, with Jason Daly from Tyl Middle School temporarily assisting her.
