At 6:30 pm on Friday May 13, 2011 the Town Fire Departments and mutual aid responded to a garage fire on Cranberry Drive, upon arrival the garage was fully involved. The fire department did an outstanding job containing the fire to the garage with some damage to the roof rafters in the house. There were working smoke detectors in the house. The fire consumed both of the families vehicles. The fire was investigated and determined to be accidental in nature with the origin of the fire being in the garage. The house is not habital at this time and will take alot of work to repair, the property was fully insured. There were no injuries to any firefighter, occupant or family pets. To all the firefighters that were on scene, keep up the good work you are a valuable asset to the Town !
