6-word stories

Have a little fun describing Montville.

A few weeks back I learned about six-word stories, the first written by Ernest Hemingway.

The first place I heard about these was at a pretty neat website “dedicated to storytelling in the digital age” and then again at http://www.sixwordstories.net ; you can read Hemingway's story at both sites.

My immediate thought: how hard could it be to write a six-word story? Not quite as easy as I thought! Here's my lame attempt at telling the story of someone close to me who is a cancer survivor.

Chemo, radiation. Biking, dancing. Loving life.

I bet Montville has lots of stories – happy, sad, interesting, historical, political, you name it - that could be told in six words. I'm hoping readers will consider sharing theirs. I'll start with its origin.
