When you call 911 to report an emergency do you know where your call goes? If you are in Montville and call from your house phone the call goes to the Montville Dispatch Center located in the old Montville Public Safety Building on Fort Shantok Road. If you call from your cellular phone your call may be directed to the State Police Barracks on I-395, then they have to transfer the call back to Montville Dispatch for fire and emergency medical calls. When you call for police service the Town is part of the States  Resident Trooper program, police dispatching and lock up is included with this. Only call 911 when there is an emergency, call 211 for general information. Glad it is Friday, have a wonderful weekend !
