A week with Raymond Library

Raymond Library updates

Last week the staff at Raymond Library were quite busy.  Miss Susan read to the children at Little People's Playplace Too.  Miss Lorrie read to the students at Growing Garden Nursery School.  The week ended with Miss Diane and Miss Britney from the Children's Museum of Southeastern CT presenting an interactive progam "Penguins-A-Plenty".

My 4 monkeys and I (which I affectionately call them) attended the program.  It was so much fun!  Miss Diane is a wonderful educator and the monkeys have attended her classes in the past at the children's museum.  It was neat to see the library set up in such a play and learning space.  They set up stations with descriptions on how to navigate each area.  Monkey #1 loved dressing up in the penguin gear and learning how each layer helped keep them warm.  They also loved playing with real ice and the penguin figurines.  It was a truly unique experience for each child and I am so glad the library was able to host.
