Giving Within The Community

These are difficult times for everyone. Gas is sky high, food, clothing, unemployment out of control, foreclosures on every street and jobs unavailable. It's  made me wonder why we just don't give up. 

I have seen  the community working together lately. It reminds me of when I was very young. Working with others to raise food for the less fortunate,  providing  animal shelters with supplies. Just when I started to think no-one cared. I personally want to thank all involved for making a difference in our community.

So many times with hardships people in general tend to look away. I remember when bartering worked.  Someone has a talent or product and trades it for a different talent or product. There is more of that going on also. Anyone can make a difference.  Even a smile when someone walks by or  saying "Good day to you" or a simply "Hello" makes a person feel good inside.

For those of you who think it goes unappreciated  or un-noticed I can tell you personally it does not by me.

Someone once said to me "When life hands you lemons make lemonade." It's really easier than one thinks.  Look at what your good at. Turn that into a job or think about something you need to made work easier if you cannot find it invent it.  Above all do not be afraid to ask for help. You just may be very surprised.

Remember your neighbors and friends make time for others and include them. Don't throw away items you think others can use. At your local dump there is a place for giving and donations so many people throw everything away. Recycle it's not difficult at all.

Everthing we do affects people, animals, our planet, our neighbors, friends and families.

Remember you are the community. Take pride in your town and your selves. Everyone has something to offer it is NOT all about money.
