Montville Recreation Puts on 2 Events!
Park & Recreations Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt, and Traditional Easter Egg Hunt.
With the help of Montville Youth services, Montville Leos, & Montville Oxoboxo Lodge of Masons #116 Parks & Rec Dept organized 2 events.
First on Friday night there was a Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt. Eleven to 17-year- olds met at Fair Oaks Community Center. In the field were 500 small eggs (candy inside) & 40 large eggs. The large eggs had number which corresonded with a prize. After about 1/2 hour they met back inside to find out what they had won. There were movie ticket & candy, baseball tickets, stuffed animals, sSubway & McDonalds. Also there was a certificate to throw out the first pitch at a Norwich baseball game.
Then on Saturday was the traditional egg hunt. Children were split up into age groups & dispersed to different playing fields. On hand were The Montville Leos to run the games & face painting. The Masons set-up & brought Peter & the Green Ranger with them. Montville Youth services provided the back drop for pictures.
