Montville's next mayor

In the last election there was a strong call for a town manager via charter revision. Although it was soundly defeated there was significant support for it, in fact many who voted against it believed it was needed but were afraid of the cost.

For the first time in Montville’s mayoral history (beginning in 1991) there will not be an incumbent running for that office, which will give the voters a unique opportunity to evaluate the qualifications of the person they choose to carry that torch for the next four years instead of it being a vote of approval or disapproval of the incumbent mayors performance. To date only two candidates have surfaced. What experience and qualifications should we demand in our next mayor?
