As a coach of softball for many years, I find it hard to sit and watch my daughter's JV highschool games without yelling from the sideline. I find I'm telling the girls to move left or right into position and reminding them of the upcoming play.
I'm sure it doesn't help that I've coached much of the team for the last two years and know they respond to my voice, but I'd love to learn to be a parent who goes just to watch.
Don't get me wrong, I cheer the girls on most of the time but when they make an error I find that I'm telling them how to fix what they did wrong, THE COACH'S JOB not MINE!!!

Any ideas on how to turn off the "coach" in me?
