Take a Trip to "Quiet Corner Christmas" for more than 68,000 lights!
The Quiet Corner Christmas features an over 40-minute show with 10 songs. Lights are synchronized to music on 95.1 FM.
Christmas is almost here and are you looking for a unique light display to see with the family? Well, take a drive up to northeast Connecticut for the “Quiet Corner Christmas”.
Over 68,000 lights illuminate 251 Wauregan Rd in Brooklyn which is transformed each holiday season into “Quiet Corner Christmas”.
The house, located one mile south of the Brooklyn Fairgrounds on Route 205, is synchronized to music broadcast on 95.1 FM.

The over 40-minute show features 10 songs including “Carol of the Bells” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, “Christmas Vacation” by Mavis Maples, “Nutrocker” by TSO, and “Jingle Rock Anthem” by Brian Havig.
The animated light display has a moment of silence and a lone candle in a second room window to pay respect for those affected by the tragedy in Newton.

The display runs on 228 computer controlled channels and uses 250 amps of electricity at 120 volts when all the lights are on at once.
The tradition started in November 2006 and garnered the attention of FOX Connecticut, WTIC-TV Channel 61.
It was highlighted in the Putnam Razzle Dazzle Light Parade 2012 with a float of 5,000 lights synchronized to the song “Wizards in Winter” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It featured 32 channels of computer control, over 15 hours of programming, and over 20 hours of setup.
“Quiet Corner Christmas” has partnered with Paws for Purple Hearts, a non-profit organization that helps heal returning combat veterans by teaching those with psychological scars, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, to train service dogs for their comrades with physical disabilities. A donation box has been setup for this worthy cause.
In addition to Christmas, the house also features a Halloween show each October. This past Halloween, the 16-minute show featured five songs including Rob Zombie’s “Dracula”, “System of a Down” by Toxicity, “Ghostbusters”, and “Jump in the Line”, the popular Bettlejuice song.
“Quiet Corner Christmas” runs from 4:45 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. thru Tuesday, Dec. 25. After Christmas, the show runs from 4:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each night. The display can be enjoyed through New Year’s Day 2013.
