Health & Fitness

Yes it's been some time since I've Blogged. Sorry But here's why..

TRUST YOUR GUT.

Well where to start, my Doctor needs to learn to have a bedside manner.

Everyone knows your weight goes up and down depending on your life, and being female we go up and down all the time - "Right Girls!"

So when I gain back 5 pounds after surgery he flipped out on me. He barged in to room and ripped into me as I sat there lost and hurt. Yelling about how I have to go back on 1,500 cal diet as well as see the Nutritionist.

I just told him I will never go back to her she does not understand me or my life.

By the time he stormed out I was in tears and the nurse was so upset she did not know what to do. When she did the fill she was so upset that it took three time to  needle in to the port. Which hurts.

I left with a migraine the biggest one I've had in a long time. It was no better the next day so I had to go back and have some taken out.

Made sure the Doctor was not there. Had a talking to the nurse and told her "I don't EVER want to SEE him EVER again" nor do I want to see the Nutrionist either she just like him talks AT YOU not with you. She told me he had no right to talk to me that way. Your take out your bad mood  on others.

Weight loss is a very touchy and sensitive issue for most everyone I know. You need to have a understanding of sensitivity to the person's feelings and stress levels. Not yell at them to loss the weight.

So I have a new Nutritionist in L&M who is more understanding of my life. I still don't know what to do about the Doctor. But I'm going to call my insurance and find out how to get someone else. Making sure I tell them every thing he put me thought.

Outside of the issue, doing better. Still going up and down, fit in to some smaller sizes so that's a good start. It's a long process and at times painful when you have a Doctor who is not understanding about real life.

So note to anyone who is thinking about having this lap-band or any weight loss surgery, really talk to the Doctor and make sure you understand what is happening and what he's all about.

If you don't think you can work with him or you feel he's out just for money and fame then by all means go somewhere else. Your mental health is more important. Trust your gut to know if the Doctor is right for you ask those HARD Questions. But TRUST YOUR GUT.
