Break Out The Calendar: Lots of School Days Off, Half Days Coming Up
Between Easter, staff development and spring vacation, oh and Memorial Day and more, there's lots of time off for Montville kids coming up
School calendar alert! What a school year. I don’t know about you, but it feels like the kids were home more than they were in school!
The Montville School Board voted last week to cut two school days off the calendar – from 182 days of instruction to 180. Many were happy about that.

For this week, Thursday March 28 is a staff development day so no school. Friday is, well, Good Friday -- no school.
Spring vacation begins April 15! Student’s last day of school is April 12 and first day back is April 22 (inclduing the weekends). Nice! But no sooner are they back then they’re off again: it’s a half day on Friday, Aril 26, an afternoon staff development day.
Then May rolls around and students have another half day on May 24 and off on May 27 for Memorial Day.
And the last day of school is June 20.
