Dunkin' Donuts Helps Raise Funds For CT Special Olympics

Dunkin' Donuts presented the donation at Mohegan Sun's "Over the Edge" event, which also benefited CT Special Olympics.

MONTVILLE, CT — From Dunkin' Donuts: This past August, law enforcement officers once again teamed up with their local Dunkin' Donuts as part of their annual Tip-A-Cop event to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Connecticut. On Friday, August 17, Connecticut law enforcement representatives visited their local Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant to collect donations from guests. Special Olympics athletes, coaches, and their families were also in attendance at select locations.

Over 30 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants participated in this one-day event, and from these efforts raised $23,900 for Special Olympics Connecticut, exceeding last year’s amount of $18,000.

Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees are excited they topped last year’s donation total. "Dunkin' Donuts is thrilled to continue to support Special Olympics Connecticut through this wonderful event," said John Coughlin, Dunkin' Donuts Franchisee. "Teaming up with local law enforcement, who do so much for our community, is so rewarding and fun for us. We're so proud to have made this our most successful Tip-A-Cop event yet and are happy the funds will support Special Olympics athletes right here in Connecticut.”
