Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk Moves To Mohegan Reservation
Formerly known as the Rocky Neck Heart Walk
The Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk (formerly the Rocky Neck Heart Walk) will take place on Sunday, September 25 at 10am at its new location on the Mohegan Reservation. Festivities start at 9am; shuttles to the event will run from Mohegan Sun’s Winter Lot starting at 8am.
Kevin Brown “Red Eagle”, Chairman of the Mohegan Tribe, will chair this year’s walk which features a 3-mile walk throughout beautiful tribal lands, a heart-healthy lunch, kid’s activities and more.
For the first time this year, the Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk will feature the Kids Heart Challenge, a 1/2-mile course with obstacles designed specifically for kids ages 5-12. Every participant will receive a Kids Heart Challenge bandana upon registration and a finisher medal! The Kids Heart Challenge is a $10 donation per child to participate and parents must complete a waiver. To learn more and register, parents can visit kids.heartwalk.org/easternct.
