Eight Montville Stores Charged for Selling Tobacco Products to Minors: Police

Police recently conducted an unannounced investigation into the sale of tobacco to minors.

MONTVILLE, CT – Police recently checked 14 establishments that sold tobacco products and found eight had sold to a minor, The Day reported.

Police conducted the unannounced investigation on Sept. 9, according to The Day. A minor attempted to purchase tobacco products at each of the stores investigated.

The clerks at the eight stores were charged with infractions, The Day reported. The stores’ cigarette dealer license holders could face also face administrative sanctions from the Department of Revenue Services.
